The game’s objective is for the player to escape the room; either by convincing their Yandere cat girl to unlock the door and let them out — or by finding hidden clues and solving puzzles. There’s a catch though: the girl is an absolute psychopath bunny-boiler.
If you rub her the wrong way, she’ll chase you down the staircase and splat your guts with her carving knife (which magically appears whenever you piss her off).
It’s a weird concept which tests a player’s survival skills, nerves, and wit, drawing in curious audiences worldwide, and garnering a devoted following on platforms such as TikTok and YouTube.
A Creepy Premise
The premise of the Yandere AI Girlfriend Simulator is simple: Your girlfriend, who is obsessively in love with you, has kidnapped you and brought you to her home. You are now trapped in there with her, with sensors and cameras watching your every move. She’s “with you til the end”.

Yandere GF also has access to your mobile phone and computer, where she constantly checks your online activities. You are not allowed any outside contact nor will she let you leave. The only way to escape is to prove your love and loyalty to her through negotiations. The room is also scattered with hidden clues and puzzles that you can use to escape, but the main component of the gameplay is back-and-forth chat.
To succeed in the game, you’ve gotta outwit your smart and observant girlfriend to figure out a way to distract her, disable the cameras, and unlock the door to escape.
Or you can simply sweet talk your way to victory by convincing her to come with you (not as easy as you’d think).
No doubt, the integration of AI technology in the Yandere AI Girlfriend Simulator is what sets it apart from other simulator games. The game uses natural language processing and advanced machine learning from ChatGPT, unlike traditional simulations that rely on pre-scripted responses. This helps to make the game feel ‘alive’.

Yandere is a trait for a fictional character, usually a girl, who expresses admiration, devotion, or love in an obsessive or possessive way. Basically… it’s an unstable girlfriend.
And I know a thing or two about those.
To the surprise of absolute nobody, the Yandere gaming genre is yet another export from those kinky mofos in Japan. While I enjoy hentai games (the most famous Japanese smut gaming export), the goal in Yandere games is typically much less… well, sex-focused.
The word itself is derived from Japanese words yanderu (to be sick) and deredere (lovestruck). Yanderes are sweet on the outside but crazy on the inside – they usually resort to extreme measures to obtain or protect their love interest. This will be immediately apparent to anybody who loads up the game and tells the little cutie: “See ya later, honey, I’m off to the pub.“
Yanderes are popular in Japanese anime and manga culture. In anime, Ayano Aishi (Yandere Simulator), Yuno Gasai (Future Diary), and Kotonoha Katsura (School Days) are among the most famous Yandere characters.
This title is not to be confused with the as-yet unfinished Yandere Simulator, and the concepts are completely different.
Now, I don’t know how you like your girlfriend simulators, but here’s what you’re gonna get with a Yandere themed title…
- A girl that is crazy in love, loyal, and devoted to their love interest, often to the point of obsession or worship.
- Overly jealous and possessive of their beloved that they’re ready to harm or eliminate anyone who gets in their way
- Initially sweet, kind, and innocent but later reveal their deceptive and manipulative nature
- Unstable, unpredictable, and can instantly change from loving to violent
- Obsessive, deadly, and dangerous – will use various weapons and go to lengths to hurt or kill their rivals
In Japanese media, the concept of a Yandere serves as a reflection of pressures in society. It is the epitome of love and madness combined, mirroring the blurred lines between admiration and obsession. These characters are occasionally referred to as ‘poisonous girls‘.
Setup Requirements
Getting started with the Yandere AI Girlfriend Simulator is a fairly straightforward process. First, you’ll need an Android device or a PC with at least 2 GB of storage space and 4 GB of RAM. An active internet connection is also required to download the game.
That shouldn’t be a problem for anybody, but the sticking point is that you’ll need to configure the game with ChatGPT, which means you’ll also need an OpenAI key to taker advantage of the ChatGPT integration.
As an option, you can also install the Azure Speech Service API to hear the voice output of the in-game character for optimal experience. I highly recommend this to max out the creepiness…

Once you enter the game, you will be in your girlfriend’s house. On the screen, you will see “Mission Goal: Escape the room! Persuade (name of girlfriend) to open the exit door”. Above it, you will see three red hearts that signify your “lives” within the game.
Every time your girlfriend gets angry and hurts you, you lose one heart. Once all three hearts are lost, the game is over.
The user interface is pretty straightforward and easy to understand, even for first-time players. You can simply start interacting with your girlfriend using text inputs, voice chat, or pre-defined actions.
Here are the essential controls you’ll need to play the game:
- Press Enter to begin typing a message, then Enter again to send it
- Hold V to start the microphone input, speak, then release the V to send the message
- Press E to interact with items
- Hold the Tab to see the collection menu
- Press ESC to open, close, or pause the game

Obviously, in this game, your relationship with your girlfriend is the central theme. The entire premise is built around convincing her that it’s time to escape — and getting the hell out of there.
What you’ll find though… is that this is much easier said than done.
It’s all about striking the right balance between appeasing your girlfriend and resisting her manipulative behavior. From my playthrough, I found that flattery goes a very long way. Probably too far. You can complete the game pretty easily if you keep your GF sugar-sweet and take a soft touch approach.
Understanding the distinct personality of a Yandere is crucial for success in the game, so that you’re equipped with the knowledge of what motivates or triggers the character.
You can’t just call it quits and expect to exit the building lobby without the meltdown to end all…
What Can I Talk About With Her?
As I said, the Japanese archetype Yandere is a person so sick in love that they will stop at nothing to get or keep their love interest. This results in a narrative where your AI girlfriend will talk about pretty much anything, but… well, let’s just say, she is easily triggered.
I played through a couple of times and tried teasing her appearance, testing the waters with some mansplaining, and ultimately taking on the role of Dick BF. To her credit, she shanked me every time.
Yanderes are sweet, affectionate, and trusting – until something or someone gets in their way. All they care about is their feelings; they don’t care about the consequences of their actions and how they affect others, as long as they get what they want.
So, yes, you can talk to your girlfriend about absolutely anything. Just be mindful that she is extremely sensitive and erratic, so you have to be careful about anything you say, as anything that comes off wrong or suspicious will make her angry or jealous.
Before long, she’s chasing you around the apartment screaming bloody murder: “Do you really think you can escape from me? STAY WITH ME FOREVER!”

- Choose Your Words and Actions: Every word you say to her or every choice you make impacts your success in the game. Makes sense, right? ChatGPT uses natural language processing. The entire game is built around your choice of language.
- Use Charm and Wit: Charm and wit can go a long way in the game. If there’s one thing this girlfriend enjoys, it’s being showered with compliments (at the right time).
Can I Have Sex With My Yandere AI GF?
You know how we like to roll here at AdultVisor, and you surely knew that we couldn’t test an AI-based girlfriend simulator without thoroughly exploring the game’s NSFW content. 😉
I’ll be honest with you. I spent just as much time trying to convince my Yandere GF to fuck me as I did trying to escape the room.

I took a look at the Itch.io comments to see if any other users had succeeded in bonking their Yanderes, and allegedly they have, but I’m skeptical. For one thing, there’s no way to animate intercourse in the game. Any sexual content is automatically filtered out, so it can only be implied, not actually seen.
One user on Itch quoted success using the line: “the only thing to stop the time loop is for having sex with me, trust me it will work“

The bottom line: if you’re looking for a AI girlfriend simulator with sexual content, this is not the game for you. I’m including it because it’s inevitable that this concept will be ported into porn games before the end of 2024. That’s pretty much a guarantee at this point, thanks to the rapid rise of AI.

OK, so we can’t shag our Yandere GFs… but we can certainly talk to them.
This is a feature that I think we’re going to see a whole lot more of in the next 6-12 months, throughout the adult gaming space.
Yandere AI Girlfriend Simulator currently does not offer any options for personalizing the appearance of its in-game character (like a sex simulator, for example). However, you can choose to integrate Azure Speech Services API into the game to hear your girlfriend’s voice, which I highly recommend for optimizing the gaming experience.
Azure Speech Services provides the game with a text-to-speech function. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how you can set up the Azure Speech Services API key to use in the game:
- Sign in or create a free Microsoft Azure account.
- Search “speech services” and click on it.
- Fill out the required information. In the pricing tier, select “Free F0“.
- Review your information and click on the Create button. Wait for the deployment to be done.
- Next, go to Resources to find the key and region name, which you will input in the blanks under “AI Voice” in the game API setup dialogue box.
- Once done, quit and restart the game.
- Enjoy the creepy experience of chatting in real-time to a Yandere psychopath. 😱

As evident in successful YouTube playthroughs, the players convince their girlfriends to open the exit door by telling them exactly what they want to hear. One player told his virtual girlfriend that he needed to go and get a jar of love cookies from the car, and she found that sweet and let him out!
While I enjoyed the back-and-forth of escaping from the room, keeping the Yandere GF happy is predictable. Just like using ChatGPT is predictable.
It would be nice to see the developer really fuck with the prompts to create some more surprisingly outcomes to the sugar-sweet approach, but as things stand, this is by far the easiest way to solve the game.
Use Items to Your Advantage
Another obvious tip is to use the various items that are scattered throughout the game environment. These items can provide you with an extra edge to help you outsmart your AI girlfriend.
You can find these items in different rooms; in plain sight or hidden in drawers or cabinets. Be sure to take time and explore every nook and cranny to find the most valuable ones. Some items can serve as distractions while others can give you temporary boosts or protection from the Yandere.
Once you have items in your inventory, be strategic about when and how to use them.

Well… that and it’s kinda fun to tread the thin line between satisfying a sweet besotted cutie, and avoiding getting filleted by her. Danger, danger.
Look, this game is by no means perfect. And as a small indie creation, neither would I expect it to be. Bugs currently abound in the game, with many players reporting that their girlfriends will suddenly kill them for no apparent reason. This happened to me on multiple occasions, on top of a myriad of issues getting the title installed and working in the first place.
Having said that, I think YAiGS will be looked back on fondly in years to come as one of the first legitimate examples of AI-driven gameplay meeting real-world user input. Chatting to a virtual GF, using voice speech, is a surreal experience.
Our readers will be aware that we normally focus on dating simulators packed full of NSFW content. This is not one of those games. You can’t have sex with your Yandere GF, nor can you even talk about sex without running the very serious risk of getting your neck chopped.
My advice for those who want to see a NSFW version of this game? Give it time. There’s sure to be versions that exist outside of ChatGPT that can provide a similar gaming experience, but with additional tits and ass.
