Lewd gaming fans, whip out your diaries: there’s a brand new dedicated trade convention showcasing some of the hottest adult games, and you don’t even have to get off the sofa to attend it.
It’s called Adult Game Fest, and it’s coming this September.
This event does away with the traditional exhibition halls, name tags, and overpriced stale beer; the entire thing is taking place in a two-decade-old virtual adult world.
The platform in question is Utherverse, which is responsible for the infamous Red Light Center MMO that we’ve previously covered here on AdultVisor.
From September 24-26, 2026, it will stage the very first Adult Game Fest… a 72-hour cyberspace convention being touted as the “pioneering trade show” exclusively for the adult gaming crowd.

What To Expect At Adult Game Fest
Adult Game Fest is, strictly speaking, a standard trade convention built entirely out of 3D graphics… hosted live in Utherverse, one of the leading adult MMO worlds.
A ticket ($9.99 for general admission) gives you access to digital exhibition spaces with software developers, financial processors, and technology suppliers in the adult gaming space.
There is also an Adult Game Investment Forum with live pitches from emerging companies, and various discussion panels (as yet unconfirmed) focusing on the usual hot topics: artificial intelligence, indie game creation, creator revenue streams, and regulatory guidelines.
A quick glance at the schedule reveals structured networking, direct matchmaking, evening social events, and a “virtual swag bag” (no doubt packed with promo discounts, trial subscriptions, and your standard affiliate marketing deals).
Anna Lee, an executive at Utherverse, suggests there’s a huge demand for such a conference:
“Despite generating an estimated $500-plus million annually – across platforms such as Steam, Patreon, and Itch.io – the adult gaming sector has never had a dedicated industry event where developers, game studios, creators, and brands can connect, showcase titles, and do business…”
How Does Utherverse Actually Work?
Before we get carried away with virtual exhibitor badges and digital swag, those of you who haven’t dabbled with Red Light Center or Utherverse are probably wondering what “hosted in Utherverse” actually means.
Well, you might consider this world a dirtier, kinked-up version of Second Life.
Rather than following a narrative-driven gameplay loop, Utherverse exists as an ongoing 3D social platform.
The virtual world has attracted over 50 million users, and while we don’t have current data on how many of those users are active, a trip inside the Utherverse guarantees a a series of *lively* real-time encounters.
Players create their own personalized avatars to interact inside virtual lounges, retail spaces (yes, the world has its own virtual economy), private residences, corporate settings, and other digital meeting points.
Every single character moving through these environments represents a real human user connected from somewhere in the physical world.
Just like Second Life, the game is known for its freedom of expression. Players can look, talk and act under the guide of their pimped-out virtual identities.
And inevitably, yes, there’s a whole lot of cyber sex.
You begin by creating a profile and avatar, after downloading the native Utherverse desktop client.
Once you’re happy with your creation, your pixel alter ego lands in the Welcome Center and can be controlled using the mouse, arrow keys, or a traditional WASD setup.
Other users nearby will communicate through the public text chat (often just a wall of text), while a PM system exists for one-to-one exchanges (with restrictions for free accounts).
Rather than existing as one vast, continuous digital metropolis, the Utherverse ecosystem operates as a collection of standalone 3D environments, smartly linked together through different portals and access points.
When the game gets busy, popular locations are divided into separate “dimensions” – which is like identical copies of a single venue, each packed with their own crowd. It remains to be seen how this works in the form of an adult gaming convention (when servers will inevitably be put to the test).
For Adult Game Fest, you’ll be able to walk around the virtual exhibition floor, approach a booth, talk to the people staffing it. The expo will be full of cross-marketing, meaning you’ll be able to click displays that lead to a game’s store page or website.
Utherverse has said that it plans to stream panels and speakers through YouTube and Twitch, while it will also be adopting a badge system that can be used to identify exhibitors, speakers, support staff and other users.

It will be fascinating to see which trendy adult games come out tops here, and ultimately, how the experience translates to an entirely digital virtual gathering.
Adult game developers can pitch to have their work showcased, and there’s the carrot of “real venture capitalists in the room“.

How Will It Stack Up In Reality?
Let’s be honest…. virtual conventions have a rather mixed history.
Utherverse has been dabbling with in-world conventions since at least 2010, when it hosted an Adult Entertainment Virtual Convention (with XBIZ).
The consensus was that Utherverse had a much larger user base back then.
It will be difficult to execute this well, but the rewards are high.
We have sampled similar events before and they are not without their challenges.
Online convenience is a big sell, but without the atmosphere of a physical venue, even the most beautifully decorated expo hall can feel lifeless and empty. Much depends on smashing the lead-up marketing drive out of the park.
The organisers will have to contend with inevitable technical hiccups, a lot of new users wrestling with confusing controls, quiet booths, and (potentially) streams playing to avatars that are mostly interested in living vicariously through their new digital selves than watching the show.
Ultimately, Adult Game Fest will need to reach a critical mass of developers, speakers, investors, and engaged users to make it worthwhile for all.
That said, there is a legit demand for a networking expo like this in an industry that makes serious money and attracts huge audiences… all despite being locked out of mainstream gaming summits, financial transaction networks, marketing channels, and venture capital circles.
Utherverse is aiming beyond simply throwing a virtual party for horny gamers.
The inevitable question is whether it will feel like a busy trade show… or simply just another schizophrenic evening inside Red Light Center.
