VRPorn.com Review: A Netflix-Inspired Buffet of Virtual Reality Porn

Published on:

According to the X account of VRPorn.com, they’re ‘The Netflix of VR Porn‘ – which essentially means they’ve licensed a bunch of virtual reality smut from different studios and put them in one location for you to watch.

A decent number of channels provide the goodies here, many of which I know produce world-class content. Taboo VR Porn, VR Bangers and Lust Reality to name but a few – all stellar outlets.

VR Porn promises over 20,000 scenes for its members, regular daily updates, some of the highest quality content in the game and support for multiple devices. It looks fantastic on paper and today, I’m going to head on in to the member’s area to see if the reality matches the fantasy.

There’s a lot to talk about here, so let’s get into the fray and see what VR Porn has to offer.

Below I take a hands-on look with our detailed VRPorn.com review.

VRPorn.com Review: First Impressions

VRPorn.com review

I tried to source a launch date for VRPorn.com, but it was difficult. Their Twitter account was created in 2013, but my guess is that it was originally registered by someone else and sold.

The same goes with the domain name: if we look at the early days of the blog, there are posts from 11 years ago, but none of them are related to adult entertainment. There are adult-related entries from 2017, but it’s not entirely clear that it was written by the current owners of the website. VR Porn lacks an about section, so yeah – difficult to learn about this place.

VR Porn doesn’t appear to have original content to speak of, but they’re involved in the adult space and do bring something to the table outside of just being a massive content library. For example, they’ve interviewed a number of pornstars with specific reference to their work in the VR space, including the likes of Sofie Marie, Brett Rossi and Marica Hase.

They’ve also covered partner studios they work with winning awards at AVN and XBIZ, but from what I can tell, VRPorn.com hasn’t won anything itself directly from either of these institutions.

The tour offers preview trailers that are a minute or so in length, but you can only watch in 1080p. If you create an account without paying for a premium membership, you can sample scenes in 4K. I’m keen for the full experience though, so let’s look at their subscription options:

Netflix of VR Porn payment options

Three options: lifetime access for $449.95, a year for $119.40 or 1 month for $19.95. Regardless of what tier you pick, you get access to the exact same member’s area. You don’t have to pay extra for downloads or 8K footage: it’s all included as standard.

There is a daily download limit, but it’s 20 scenes every 24 hours. I’m going to compare a lot of what’s available here to Sex Like Real, since it’s also a library for third-party VR sex videos. The download limit there is 30 scenes every 6 days, so VRPorn.com is much better in this regard.

My only complaint is that it isn’t made clear when you sign up that there is a limit: you have to look through the ToS to find out.

Note that if you pay with Epoch, they’ll automatically convert the cost of the membership to your local currency. In our case, this was AUD. I dislike this and would prefer if our bank handled the exchange, since you’re paying about $1 extra when it all comes out in the wash. I’m not losing sleep over $1: it’s just the principle.

There’s also a pre-checked cross-sale trial for a website called Dezyred. Not very expensive, but I won’t be covering it in this review.

Signing up was simple and I was automatically logged in. Let’s check out the member’s area.

The VRPorn.com Member’s Area

I began by looking at VR Porn on my PC – this is often how I’ll start my reviews, just for the sake of accessibility. Overall, pretty good experience.

The preview panes for scenes contain the scene title, original studio name and the length of the video. I’d like to see the addition of a pornstar tag: when you’ve got such a huge quantity of VR sex movies, there’s a good chance that multiple pornstars have dozens, or even hundreds, of uploads.

Homepage selection on VRPorn.com

VR Porn seems to be on the ball when it comes to compatibility and ensuring that you get access to your smut: all major devices have support here, including the Meta Quest series, Vive, PSVR, Apple Vision Pro and so on.

Note that not every headset will be able to take advantage of all features here – particularly when it comes to scene resolution and FOV. If you have an older device, it might be time to upgrade to ensure you make the most of VRPorn.com.

The tour promises daily uploads and while it’s a little bit of a pain to find the dates for scenes, I can confirm that you get anywhere from 10 to 25 new videos every 24 hours. The first upload here was published in November 2017 – I think it’s fair to assume that this is when VR Porn – in its current form – started.

If you’re completely new to virtual reality, the team here has gone to painstaking lengths to give full documentation for all headsets and how to access the platform (as well as its app). They recommend the Meta Quest 2 or 3 for new users – these devices are quite good, and I’m writing my review on the Meta Quest 2.

They’ve also got a semi-active Twitter, but it seems like it’s devoted to content promotion (no technical support). Sex Like Real is their closest rival and they’ve got a Discord server: instant help via popular apps makes a lot of sense, and I’d like to see them go a little harder on this front.

Video Analysis

Quantity

You’re promised 20,000+ videos: how does VR Porn stack up in reality? I visited the ‘all scenes’ area and was presented with 32 scenes on each page, with 675 pages in total. That’s 21,600 uploads according to Mr. Calculator: not too bad. There’s one tiny, tiny problem: the search bar claims that they have 23,000+ scenes.

VRPorn inside the members area

I’ll admit that it’s a bit of a rounding error when it comes to a library of this magnitude and truth be told, Sex Like Real had the same issue too. What’s up with VR websites and being slightly off with the number of scenes they’ve got? Real weird.

I also ran a quick check of scene lengths and of the latest 32 uploads, it comes out at 24 minutes per release. I wouldn’t read too much into this figure – some studios have very short videos, whereas others go for an hour or even longer.

If we looked at the total length of videos here and compared them against SLR, I’d wager they’d be pretty similar. Though SLR would win out – it has a much larger JAV database and as everyone knows, Japanese porn studios love recording lengthy scenes.

Quality

If we head back to the very first scenes uploaded to VR Porn, they’re available in 4K as a top-end format. I’d say this was par for the course back then, but in actuality, 3K is the dominant format that you tend to see from mid-to-late 2010s VR archives – that’s certainly the case when it comes to SLR.

I looked at dozens of meta data sections of the earliest uploads here and all were 4K – seems safe to say that this is the bare minimum you’ll get. This actually matters too, as the visual difference between 3K and 4K, especially in VR, isn’t trivial.

Note that because different studios have different standards and resolutions of choice, you get a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to supported formats and more importantly, bitrates. 18 VR is at 5K, VR Spy 6K and VR Bangers at 8K for their top-end options. I recently reviewed VR Bangers, so let’s take a look at one of their scenes hosted here and see how it stacks up:

VRPorn video quality analysis

These are the originals as provided by the source website. 8 Mb/s for 4K isn’t too bad, but 60 Mb/s for 8K is almost overkill – these are incredibly high numbers, so definitely a good choice for people who care about objective numbers. This file did come in at 17.7 GB though, so yeah – not small!

Small note: some studios go beyond 8K and I’ve personally seen 12K scenes from VR Bangers: I checked the meta categories at VR Porn and found that 8K was the highest that they usually provide, but a few scenes have a special download link in the description if you really want the higher resolution.

Download Speed

You can get good speeds at VRPorn.com – but they’re not great. I tested the servers with a gigabit connection and managed to achieve an average of around 65 Mb/s. I’d randomly spike up to 100 Mb/s from time to time, but it wasn’t anywhere near as stable or steady as other hosts. I’d say for 95% of readers, this won’t be a concern and the bottleneck will be on your end, not theirs. A 2.44 GB file took me 40 seconds to download.

Download speed test on VRPorn.com

You can queue downloads with a manager, but the site only lets you grab one file at a time – no parallel downloading allowed. Not a deal breaker, but if we’ve already got a weekly download limit – is this really necessary?

Content Analysis

Variety is the spice of life and that’s precisely what you’re getting at VR Porn.

Since there are dozens of studios here that contribute media, you receive a good assortment of niches, but most content is tailored toward vanilla fans. There are a few niche and bizarre releases here – but in terms of numbers, they don’t hold a candle to your classic genres that make up the bulk of what VR Porn has. We’re talking MILFs, incest, teens, threesomes, anal and more.

The most popular studios providing content to VR Porn include Real Jam VR, VR Bangers, Wankz VR and Virtual Real Porn. These places aren’t specific to any one content idea – unlike other channels on the platform. If you want to see tanned South American babes, VR Latina is a good choice. Prefer teens? 18 VR is the go-to spot for that. VRB Trans and Grooby VR can also scratch your itch if you’re down for some trans girl VR fun.

VRPorn.com scene sample

The most popular pornstars on the site – who all have dozens of videos for you to watch – include the likes of April Olsen, Molly Little, Melanie Marie and Blake Blossom.

It bears repeating that there are limited VR JAV releases here, so if you have a particular interest in this niche, Virtual Real Porn is the better choice. VR Porn does have a couple of hundred scenes from Japan though – as well as Western Asian action for those suffering with yellow fever.

Note: some content here is AI/deep fake. I’ll write about this further down.

Design & Navigation

Desktop

No major complaints when it comes to the PC version of the website. Streams seem to be limited to 5K, so if you want the full 8K experience via your computer, you’ll need to download the scenes. I appreciate the rich search results provided when you type in a keyword: it’s done in real time too, so type whatever you want in for instant information.

Navigation design on VRPorn.com

There are a few adverts dotted around the member’s area, but they’re inoffensive. It’s all VR-related stuff too, with VR cams being the main thing that they’re trying to promote. Out of all the things that this platform could advertise, this is the least bothersome.

Scenes have a bunch of tags associated with them, so you can find very specific interests. Examples: missionary, hairy pussy, handjob, tattoo, skinny and so on. You can sort each tag by upload date or popularity – it’s not clear how popularity is measured, but it’s probably a combination of likes, views and comments.

VR Headset

You can access VRPorn.com using any headset browser and it will enter immersive move when you load up a video. Notably, it doesn’t have a fully immersive browsing option – unlike SLR. In fact, full immersion via browser seems to be somewhat uncommon. It won’t make a big difference to your viewing experience and the website is exactly the same as it is on desktop.

VRPorn.com view from my headset

VR Porn has integrated itself with an app called PLAY’A: from an aesthetic and immersion perspective, it’s superior to the website. Functionality is similar, but you might prefer everything to be in a real VR environment when you’ve got your headset on: different strokes for different folks.

VRPorn via the Play'a app - pretty nice

Now, if we look at the bottom here: pagination shows 1992 archive pages, with 12 scenes on each – that’s 23,904 uploads!

I’m not sure why the desktop version of the website has 2.3k less uploads, but this is another reason to grab the PLAY’A app: you’ll have around 10% more scenes to watch. Streaming via PLAY’A does allow you to go up to 8K too – this is better than the website, which only has 5K as its top-end resolution.

Mobile

Although the number of mobile users accessing VR websites is low, there are a few out there – especially if you want to try it out with Google Cardboard. I had no problems with the mobile option and was impressed at the loading speeds of pages and content. VRPorn.com will prompt you to configure your browser for VR access in your mobile and you can even sample free trailers without creating an account.

Billing Information

All three membership lengths give you the same thing: you don’t need to pay extra for downloads, 8K footage or app access. It’s $19.95 for a month (rebills at $24.95), $119.40 for a year and $449.95 for lifetime access. VR websites seem to really like lifetime accounts as a concept – not many other porn spots do it, but if you’re confident you’ll be here for 4 or so years, it does make economic sense.

You can pay for your membership with standard credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB and Maestro) as well as PayPal and even cryptocurrency. The header section of the signup area contains a logo for paysafecard, but I couldn’t find this as an option anyway – it may be region specific or discontinued.

Crypto payments are handled by a third-party processor called Centrobill. Available cryptocurrencies include BTC, LTC, ETH, DOGE and USDT (ERC20/TRC20/BEP20). I’d really like to see XRP and BNB added as options. I was quoted $459 in USDT for the $450 lifetime membership – you’ll pay 2% over mid-market rate if you settle with cryptocurrency.

How Will VRPorn.com Purchases Appear on My Statement?

Here’s how my bank reported my purchase:

VRPorn.com transaction details on my statement

Googling the phrase provided does return some information about the company: if you go looking, you can find trademarks for adult-related projects. It’s not immediately obvious what your purchase is, but if a significant other went digging – yeah, they’d work it out. I’d describe VRPorn.com’s billing as semi-discreet.

AI & Deepfake Content

There’s a tag on VR Porn for ‘AI Porn’ and in it, there are two videos that are deepfakes. They both come from a studio called Migoto VR: no other uploads come from this studio. One video was uploaded 4 months ago and another one last week. Here are two screenshots comparing the deepfake to the original upload:

AI porn on VRPorn.com

Original on the left, deepfake on the right. The real pornstar is Hime Marie – the deepfake has been attributed to someone called Niwa Shizuka, but searching for this name yielded zero results on Google, except for taking us back to VRPorn.com. I’m pretty confident that this person doesn’t exist and it’s an AI/deepfake based on Lisa from Blackpink.

Should AI deepfakes exist? I’m not sure. Are platforms going to do it anyway? Well, based on this… potentially?

It’s only two videos, and I couldn’t even find anything written about it from the team at VR Porn – but I doubt things are going to go the opposite way, especially as quality and realism increase month to month. The scene was pretty good – a few glitches here and there, but it wasn’t too easy to notice, nor did it ruin the video.

I actually got lucky that I checked out this exact scene, since again: only two scenes out of 20,000+ here are deepfakes.

Downsides of VRPorn.com

There are a few things that Sex Like Real does better than VR Porn: firstly, it has support for teledildonics, which you won’t find here.

The app and immersive website are also marginally better – with extra support for passthrough videos if that’s your cup of tea. VR Porn hasn’t said anything on their blog about passthrough yet, but it might be something that they’ll have in the future (especially if the competition supports it).

I dislike when companies make it hard for you to cancel recurring billing: I had to go directly to Epoch to manage my subscription, which is a bit of a pain. SLR required two clicks to ensure you won’t be billed again: you first have to send an email to VR Porn and then they’ll point you to a link, via email, to put in more details, and then a ‘special discount offer’, which you have to skip, before it’s finally cancelled. Not ideal.

Our Verdict on VRPorn.com

VRPorn.com is a good project: they’ve got a hell of a lot of content here and it’s one of the biggest libraries I’ve ever seen when it comes to hardcore VR videos. I think it’s fairly priced and with support for 8K scenes, you can’t go wrong. It’s one of the best value VR porn deals on the market today.

I think that Sex Like Real is slightly better – but the differences are pretty minor. In fact, I’d go with whichever one has the better sale on. The only things missing here are passthrough, JAV and support for teledildonics. Each of these things might sway a few punters, but for most people, they’re very much the same site.

If VR Porn really wanted to wow me, they’d remove the weekly download limit, add 8K streaming via the browser, create a Discord server for better communication and make a few tweaks to billing. As-is, it’s still a great VR sex video platform and one I’m happy to endorse.
